WorkplaceX is a software tool to develop websites. It transforms plain html files (which means files without template, navigation and sitemap) into great websites. Development process of websites is simplified. Pages get automatically enriched by layout and navigation. Writing your own content with HTML, StyleSheet and JavaScript is fun, very flexible and you keep it all under your control!

Webpages are made of HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, StyleSheet, Adobe Flash, Php, Coldfusion, MySql, Pdf. WorkplaceX brings it all together without CMS.
WorkplaceX is a programm that runs on your local desktop computer. It reads your content html files, combines it with layout information (master page), adds the navigation and copies the result to the Publish folder. WorkplaceX is like a batch program or a compiler. It only reads your files. It never modifies or changes your html source files. They remain 100% under your control!

Folder 'Website'
In this folder you save your fully functional website with html files, style sheets and images. The pages are straight forward and do not contain navigation or sitemap.
Folder 'Template'
This folder contains the web page layout (theme). For example the website logo goes in here.
File 'Configuration'
The file Configuration.wpx contains sitemap and other information. It's an xml file auto generated by WorkplaceX desktop application.
Folder 'Publish'
In this folder you find the result or output of the build process (Website + Template = Publish). The publish folder goes to the internet server typically by FTP upload.
